Warner Parks
Through close collaboration with Warner Parks, we revitalized historic but forgotten urban landscapes into vibrant, inviting spaces. Designed to be safe and welcoming, these parks now offer families opportunities to explore, play, and connect with nature in the heart of the city.
Belle Meade Entrance
The historic Allée at Percy Warner Park, a limestone pathway leading from the iconic sandstone entrance at Belle Meade Boulevard, has undergone significant rehabilitation to enhance its natural beauty and visitor experience. Key initiatives included the removal of invasive plants, pruning of tree limbs to restore scenic vistas, and a woodland restoration plan by TALA. This plan introduced native wildflowers and plant species to the area, ensuring the Allée's ecological health and sustainability for future generations.

Clare’s Meadow
Clare's Meadow is a dedicated six-acre native meadow in Percy Warner Park, named in honor of Tara’s late mother-in-law, Clare Armistead, founder of Friends of Warner Parks. This restoration project aims to rejuvenate the park's grasslands and meadows, reflecting Clare's enduring legacy and commitment to natural preservation.
Ecological Restoration
Our ecological restoration initiatives focus on revitalizing native ecosystems within Warner Parks. By reestablishing indigenous plant species and restoring natural habitats, we aim to enhance biodiversity, protect wildlife, and maintain the ecological balance of these cherished urban green spaces.
Nature Play
TALA designed Nashville’s first Nature Play at Warner Park, creating a safe, unstructured outdoor space where kids can explore. Featuring a cedar playhouse, dirt piles leading into a sandpit, and a water spigot for messy fun, it has already connected over 5,000 children with nature. TALA continues designing Nature Play spaces for schools and community centers, incorporating natural site features and interactive elements like a beaver fort, tree maze, and raincatcher.
